The following trivia is about the guests for the 2008 Legends Meet.

This spring is the 30th anniversary of an Ohio athlete running a 8:44.0 - 3200 meter run to rank him 5th on the All-Time US High School List behind Gerry Lindgren (8:40.0), Craig Virgin (8:40.9), Steve Prefontaine (8:41.5) and Dave Merrick (8:41.2).  After 3 decades this athlete is still ranked 7th, edging out Dathan Ritzehhein who is 8th on the list in 8:44.1.  Who is the athlete and what high school did he compete for?
